man's psychological state. Therefore, it has good effects and there is
no harm in being attached to it for these good reasons.

In
psychology, colors are not just color. Each of them has its own special
meaning. Color representing passion, desire, and will. Many things in
the world are associated with certain color, such as red for bravery and
black for condolence. In Islam, there is also a color which strongly
associated with the religion: Green. Even though it’s never explicitly
explained, the green color has somehow  become a representation for
Islam. Indeed, there are some importance of green color in Islam:

It’s one among few colors appear in the Holy Quran. The description of
green itself is good and positive, appear such as the color of river in

upon him) wore many green colors as his outfit, as well as the vision
of Aisha (RA) in the similar color.
3. The Prophets’s Favorite Color

the source are not clear yet, green was claimed to be the favorite
color of the Prophet (peace be upon him). It was due to the most
garments he wore were green. Such as green cloak, green turban, and many

Quran about people who entering the paradise “will wear green garments
of fine silk.”
4. Green Symbolized Life
Green
has a literal positive meaning as a symbol of life. When the grass, the
farm, and the mountain is not green, then there would hardly any being
live in there. Plants could also grow only when there’s water that turns
them green, so that they can give life to animal. The reason Allah SWT
gives rain to the Earth is to change everything into green.
Sent down rain from the sky and the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted. [Al-Hajj (22:63)]

imagination of Muslim themselves in many areas they are in such as art,
politics, and ideas.
6. Green Has a Special Place in Islamic History
In
Islamic history, green played its own part. It appears as the binding
of the Qurans, main decoration of the mosque, and as covers for the
graves of the Sufi saints. Many Muslim countries in the world also use
green as the main theme for their flag. It is strongly affected by the
mention of green in the Quran, which said to be the color people wear in
Paradise as well as it give living to all being.
7. As Suggestion to Preserve the Nature
Green
is also symbol for all Muslims to preserve nature, keep its purity and
cleanliness, as well as increasing the green areas. As the Prophet
(peace be upon him) has once said that when the Day of Judgement come,
each of us will be given seed and have to plant them. Green is also
reminder that Earth must not be spoiled by injustice and unfair wars.
8. The Color That the Dwellers of Paradise Wear
Many
literature state that inside the Paradise, all the dwellers will be
covered in green garments as their clothes. It proved the importance of
green in Islam, as its more than just color.

Not
only in Islam, but also in general meaning, green is life. When
everything becomes green, then there’s a life in it. It is also
mentioned in the Quran:
10. Green is the Favor from Allah

11. Greenery Gives Life to Muslim
It explained very clearly inside the Quran:
And
it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the
growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce
grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees – of its emerging
fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines
and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its
fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for
 a people who believe. [Al-An’am (6:99)]
12. The Prophet’s Grave Has Green Color
The
building of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) color has a dome on it.
And the dome was covered in none other than green color.
13. To Calm and Refresh Mind
In
psychology of color, green has a good meaning. It leaves a calming and
refreshing feeling to those who surrounded by it. It is also beneficial
for the eyes and helps improving the vision.
So
those are all the importance of green color in Islam. Even so, we
should not think green as the best color and discredit other colors.
Liking colors other than green is not a sin. Let’s give respect for each
 color existed in the world.
